Souilly, a small village in the Meuse region, was home to the headquarters of the Second Army and Pershing during the Battle of Verdun. To tell the story of the back and forth between the front and the rear, the exhibition features a false window and a perspective on the village in 1917, a memory cabinet, and an animated wall combining graphics and videos on the complex roles of the various army offices.
